I was so excited to hear audio coming out. Stephen had the perfect rough gravelly voice that matches Roman's character. Nikki was well matched too.
Even though I've read the story, listening to it felt new and I was excited all over again. I loved how well the narrators gave feelings to the words and really brought the characters alive. Also it helped as I was getting some of the Russian words wrong haha.
I thought the book was steamy but with Stephens voice, woah *swoon *melting and you will need new panties 😉.
I've been a Monica Fan since her first book in the Kozlov Series. So when her book comes out I jump in fully, abandoning the real world and into dark and delicious fantasy world.
Have been so excited for this new series. We still get a bit of connection from first series, as Roman is Maxim's right hand man. He is just as ruthless, grumpy, fearless, rough and strong.
Liza seems weak but she is actually very strong character. To do what she is doing and enduring for her sister takes a lot of strength. I loved her sassy and witty character. She is stuck to an forced arrange engagement. Her parents are awful money hunger leeches. Being Kira's best friend, she meets Roman a lot. Both give the vibe of dislike but we can see it being tension. Rest of the story you will have to read and find out but woah. The heated forbidden scenes were scorching hot. The way they make things happen, well Roman makes happen is genius and just too hot to handle.
When their life is in danger they both need to go in hiding but Liza has a plan that needs addressing to get out of marriage (So she thinks 🙈).
With the wedding looming, their life in danger and their alone time playing games with their heart, can either of them survive all this? It will leave you panting one minute then on the edge next scared for their lives.
So all in all this was fast paced high intensity, action packed, dramatic, love, hate, emotion very dark themes, entertaining and as I said so hot.
I wonder who will be next in series. I am intrigued by Nikolai. I see a fantastic age gap story there.

There’s so much exciting stuff that happens in this book.
The chemistry between Liza and Roman is electric. Liza is a strong, selfless 25-year-old who puts her family’s comfort and happiness above her own. She’s very protective of her little sister and she’s smarter and more resourceful than she appears. Roman, who is 13 years older than her, is loyal to those he considers family, and sweet and caring towards Liza. She brings out a vulnerability in him that’s touching to see.
I enjoyed the narration of this book. Nikki Grey is new to me and I really enjoyed her portrayal of the strong, intelligent, loyal Liza. Stephen Dexter played the obsessed, protective, dominant Roman to a tee. His deep, gravelly voice was perfect for the steamy scenes and his portrayal of Roman in his vulnerable moments was very moving. I also enjoyed his portrayal of the villain Anatoly.
