After the horrors of Istvaan V, Horus declares outright war against the Imperium. In the shadows of the Emperor's Palace, powerful figures convene.

Their plan is to send a team of assassins to execute the arch-traitor Horus and end the war for the galaxy of mankind before it's even begun. But what they cannot know is that another assassin is abroad already, with his sights firmly set on killing the Emperor.

This is one of the best books in the Horus Heresy series (so far) great character developments and so many plot twists kept me guessing a lot

One of the best books on the series

Gritty, down to earth look at some of the most skilled humanity has to offer. One of the better, less grandeurising novels of the series. Thoroughly enjoyed a close lore look at the agents of the Imperium.

A gritty look through non astartes eyes

The Nemesis Horus Heresy book is easily in my Top 5 favourites of the series as a whole. It is an excellent listen or read that is a great divergence of style from the normal Astartes based stories. Following along with some assassins and detective work with superb itnrigue keeps you going throughout.

I would highlly recommend this isntallment to anyone.

A thrilling story of assasins.

ok so black library don't produce great works of literature but this is definitely one of the better examples of fiction from the GW universe. had me paying attention the whole way through. the fight with the black pariah at the star port is a bit weak and the voice for the Eversor was a bit of a cartoon choice from the otherwise excellent narrator but it was a thoroughly enjoyable story. highly recommended
