Perturabo - master of siegecraft and the executioner of Olympia. Long has he lived in the shadow of his more favoured primarch brothers, frustrated by the mundane and ignominious duties which regularly fall to his Legion.
When Fulgrim offers him the chance to lead an expedition in search of ancient and destructive xenos weaponry, the Iron Warriors and the Emperor's Children unite and venture deep into the heart of the great star maelstrom that haunts Perturabo's dreams.
Pursued by vengeful survivors from Isstvan V and the revenants of a dead eldar world, they must work quickly if they are to unleash the devastating power of the Angel Exterminatus.

GM at his best lots of Perturabo Lucius & Fabius
I just loved it, it's all Astartes story lines, I really enjoyed the portrayal of Perturabo,
for me GM is the Heresy,
this is very much a tangent in the over all story so you don't have to read this one really
I liked the cat and mouse dynamics in the book
the action bangs and keeps banging GM's best

The emperors children and Fulgrim are presented well too.
We are also introduced to a few characters which iron warriors fans will recognize.
There are some fantastic loyalist characters too and some incredible battle scenes with some clever twists.
The only bad point with this book is that it ends.
Really well written and a great job from the narrator too.
5 stars isn’t sufficient..A must read for Heresy fans.
Easily my favorite Heresy novel.
