Now that news of Horus' treachery is in the open, a time of testing has come. Some Legions have already declared their allegiance to the Warmaster while the loyalty of others lies firmly with the Emperor. As Horus deploys his forces, loyalist Astartes learn that a massive Wordbearers fleet is heading to Ultramar, home of the Ultramarines.

Unless they can intercept the fleet and destroy the mighty battleship that has been sent to reinforce it, the Ultramarines may suffer a blow from which they will never recover.

I enjoyed this indepth focus on a 40k space fleet tale.
Good main characters are the heart of the story and of course the mighty war ships engaged in a desperate cat and mouse chase through the 40k galaxy.
Great narration and solid writing make this a worth while listen.
I'm not sure why some reviewers didn't get on with this but I'm guessing that some people want the Horus heresy as a whole moved forward at a faster rate but for me I really enjoy a more indepth focus on the smaller engagements, characters and battles within the greater scope of the Heresy.

Not essential but worth listening to, lots of action in this one that swept the story along unlike others in the series.

Despite all the negative reviews, is wasn't that bad. The audio is top quality, just overall story wasn't as good as the what's come before it but still enjoyed it.
