After the speech has been written, the practice has been done, all that is left is for you to actually present your speech to the audience. It goes without saying that this can be one of life's biggest challenges! As long as you are taking the time to create and practice a speech, you sure want the speech to make an impact on your audience. You want to be able to deliver a great speech.

Every time we give a speech, we all want the same thing to happen: We want to change the world. However, in order to do that, we are going to have to find ways to connect with our audience. The challenge we are facing is that it turns out this is not an easy thing to do.

All too often public speakers think that all that they have to work with are the words that will tumble out of their mouth during their next presentation. Whereas these words are important, a speech offers you many other ways to connect with your audience by demonstrating what you are talking about.

So why do we give speeches? I mean, talk about an effort! When you agree to give a speech all of a sudden you realize that you've signed yourself up to pick what you want to talk about, do whatever research is required, actually write the speech, and then spend a great deal of time practicing how you are going to say it. What's the purpose of all of this?

I happen to think that being a product manager is one of the best jobs out there. I find it to be very satisfying because I'm in charge of the success of a product. If I do the right things, then my product will be selected by a large number of customers and it will solve their problems. If I don’t do my job right, my company will probably decide to stop offering my product after a while. Ultimately, my career is in my hands.
