World of Anthrax

Like most college students, all Callie Norton has worried about for weeks was passing this semester’s finals. After a night out celebrating, she and her friends wake up, sick with way more than the hangover of the century. All too soon, Callie realizes that this is not just a common cold she’s suffering from—and when she wakes up from a coma in a quarantine tent as the sole survivor, lack of food and water aren’t her only problems.

I have survived the outbreak of the zombie apocalypse—but this is only the beginning of my fight for survival.

I survived the plague that killed millions. I escaped from the ravenous monsters when the dead refused to stay dead. I ran for my life when a last-ditch effort to contain the spread of the infection did nothing but blast the last remaining survivors to smithereens.

My best friend has been murdered and turned into a zombie. I’ve fled what came way too close to a mad scientist’s lair for anyone’s good. I’ve stepped over the dead bodies of men, women, and children who I’ve risked my life for. Watched what little hope and security thousands of people have clung to for weeks go up in flames—and half of them even looking enthusiastic about it.

Now that it boils down to survival of the *ssholes, decisions have to be made and sacrifices are in order. And as much as I would like to keep my firm stance on the moral high ground, I’m really not that fond of the consequences. If only there was an alternate solution for my problems...but as I’ve recently found out, that comes with its own massive downsides.
