Taming Destiny

Markus Wolfe has lost his parents, his girlfriend, and now, his job. He's at his lowest point with nothing left to lose. Or so he thought. But when an apparition appears, promising Markus a mysterious inheritance, he's given the opportunity to discover what he's got to gain: a purpose. Ever since Markus Wolfe transmigrated to a lizard-eat-lizard world in which nature has reverted to an almost Jurassic-level wilderness, he's been uncertain of his patron Nicholas's ultimate goal—but he has learned how to increase his skills and outlast the man-shredding beasts that cross his path. Things get personal when Kalanthia, Markus's leopard companion—known as the Great Predator to her enemies—is attacked, and her precious cub, Lathani, is captured during the struggle. Having already overcome so many odds, Markus isn't prepared to let his luck run out just yet.

Despite barely surviving his arrival on a brutal world, Markus Wolfe has overcome each trial he's been confronted with since then. He's no longer just a stranger lost in the wild but the very heart of a growing pack. But with old wounds still gnawing at him and new responsibilities piling up, he must find a way to protect those who now look to him for leadership...even if he's not entirely sure he can protect himself.
