Sara Baron Tuned In Mystery

Oboist Sara Baron agrees to cat-sit for a childhood friend, but instead of being greeted by a meowing fluff ball, she walks into a ransacked house and stumbles over her friend’s dead body. Frantic, she runs next door and enlists the help of a mysterious stranger who knows more than he admits.

Sara Baron’s dream job as a professional symphony musician is threatened by a medical affliction. She returns to her hometown in upstate New York to receive physical therapy and hopefully recover enough to resume her career. While playing duets for the opening of the town’s new community center, lights go out and a gunshot echoes through the reception area. The building contractor, a man with no shortage of enemies, is dead. Her duet partner and childhood friend begs her to help find the killer when her father, Sara’s old chemistry teacher, is at the top of the suspect list.

Oboist Sara Baron is settling nicely into her new life back in her hometown, but when a friend goes missing under suspicious circumstances, her newfound equilibrium is thrown off balance. The police don’t suspect foul play, but Sara gets a bad vibe when she finds her friend Micah blew off a meeting with his dissertation chair and has been ghosting his girlfriend.
