Marycliff Football

I never planned on seeing Grayson Kilpatrick again, for a few reasons: 1. I didn't have a way to get in touch with him. 2. He'd been recruited to play football for Ohio. 3. He pretended he didn't know me when I tried to tell him I was pregnant. I have built my life around a new set of goals that I determined as soon as I had my son. My parents have helped out while I've been at school. I've had a plan...and now, I'm moving forward...until Grayson Kilpatrick makes a reappearance and upends all my plans. Again.

She’s my best friend’s little sister. That alone should be enough to make me keep my hands to myself. Knowing her brother’s extra protective should seal the deal. But after Ellie turns up on our doorstep while her brother’s not home, and falls asleep on the couch after a misunderstanding with her roommate, I can’t seem to stay away. I’m not normally the kind of guy who only wants what he can’t have, but in Ellie’s case, I seem to be making an exception.

I spent last year busting my butt as the starting quarterback to make sure Marycliff moved up to Division I. Now it's my senior year, and as thanks for all my hard work, the university's brought in a new head coach and a new starting quarterback. Bitterness doesn't even begin to describe my feelings about that. And since the new QB is Coach's pet, no amount of hard work will win my spot back. But he has a weakness: a smokin' hot sister who just so happens to tag along to all the team events. And lucky me, she's as attracted to me as I am to her.

I have no idea how to flirt. In fact, I can barely tell when someone is flirting with me. I've been focused no football and school for way too long and somewhere along the way I missed out on all the normal relationship stuff my friends did. Now I'm a junior in college, and I've only ever kissed one girl in my whole life. Until Autumn. For some reason, she wants to help me out; be my love tutor, she says. The thought of taking her up on her offer makes me want to incinerate from embarrassment. But if I don't, I might miss my only chance to catch up.

I've been in love with Dani for...I don't even know when it happened to be honest. We met freshman year and started working out together. Working out buddies turned to friendship, which led to feelings. At least for me. But she's been hung up on another guy, at least until this Christmas break, when I found her singing out her heartbreak at a karaoke bar. All I wanted to do was comfort her, which apparently meant my lips comforting hers. But she freaked, and now I don't know what to do.

I don't think I can sink any lower. Somehow I've ended up blackmailing a girl into pretending to be my girlfriend. Let me back up. I've known Charity since high school. Well, we went to the same exclusive prep school, anyway. We weren't friends, though. Now we're at the same university, and her friend group keeps crossing paths with mine, much to her obvious dismay. Given how vocal she is about disliking me, it's become a hobby of mine to needle her more anytime the opportunity presents itself.

My new roommate doesn't seem to like me... But then, she doesn't seem to like her boyfriend much, either, so maybe that's just the way she is. Until one night, when her boyfriend won't take no for an answer, I have to step in, and I realize the grumpy attitude she's given me since I moved in is because she's been dating a douchebag. After she sends him packing, I make it my mission to cheer her up. In the process, I find that she's creative, charming, and fun to be around. What starts as trying to help my roommate turns into wanting something more.

Having grown up sheltered my entire life, I decide to take life by the horns and live a little when my brother invites me to a party at his house, which also happens to be party central for the Marycliff University football team. A hot guy catches my eye. He's shirtless and clowning with his friends. He'll do for my first one-night stand. I just have one condition—no names.
