Summary

Please note this is not a dark romance.

When I found my boyfriend cheating on me, I did something stupid. Or should I say, someone? Because of that mistake, I'm now stuck in a world I don't belong in. I'm a law student. They're criminals. He's the Vice President of a MC. I'm a good girl with a strict upbringing. He's my ex-boyfriend's brother. And I'm screwed.

4.5 Stars

The first book in the Wind Dragons MC series sees us meeting Dex and Faye. Dex is the club's VP, Faye is a law student, two opposites. After a one night stand that leaves Faye pregnant and homeless, Dex steps up and looks after his 'baby mamma'. Faye has to learn to live in the confines of the clubhouse, including the other bikers, the women and the guns. Can she do that? More importantly can the other members accept her? I really enjoyed the story, the writing and the characters. Looking forward to starting book 2.

Enjoyable... stans out in this genre

Good to listen to and stands out in this genre as it is less predictable that others I have read in this genre and some really funny dialogue between characters.

Great Mc story

A great start to a new series with some really captivating characters that I look forward to discovering more of as this series develops. Faye and Dex are excellent together and I absolutely enjoyed their story. it was easy to warm up supporting characters in the club.
I can't wait to see what happens to Arrow.

Ended badly.

I loved listening to the story, and i wish it was longer, the ending was a bit of a let down but all in all awesome, the narrator was surprisingly good.

That ending??

The ending… I can’t help but wonder if that’s on purpose, because it just ends mid sentence??

A nice surprise

I enjoyed the story, loved the biker theme. Sexy enough to appease. Not too violent . Or too mushy. Good range of Characters,

Read this book in one sitting

I enjoyed the story , romance with biker vibes. Author did not pad out her story by going into overly long details of sexual acts.

suprisingly interesting

The story made me think about gang fidelity , family sense and protection. What does it take for a person to look the other way when violence is a norm and finally taking part of the violence and accepting their part in it?

WOW what a let down

This was not AWFUL but, if you are looking for a dramatic hard biker story pass on this one. The H was likable enough, but the h was unbearable. She was one second prudish and the next having a conversation with a naked guy cooking breakfast, REALLY. Scared to death to live in a biker compound, then her curiosity is soooo great she goes out in t-shirt/nightie to see what a noise is. I just don't think so. No real climatic drama just a plodding along story. Just didn't do it for me. Looking for a great biker story try Raine Falling by Paula Marinaro.

Sons of anarchy

This book is basically sons of anarchy. From the scholar girlfriend, main wife doing a charity or fundraiser something like the show.
The time is off with pregnancy first 5 months then 2 months pass then she’s only 6 months.
Yeah too similar to the sons of anarchy..

Awesome narration; Not all read

Would you consider the audio edition of Dragon’s Lair to be better than the print version?

Did not like finding portions of the written book left out in the audio version.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Dragon’s Lair?

Loved Faye's use of firearms when she saved lives in the Clubhouse.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Spitfire Female Rocks his world.

Set in Australia...

Other than the fact that the plot has about a million holes and the characters aren't really likable and any kind of way, the most annoying thing about this book is that it is clearly set in Australia but done with straight American accents. Lame.

MY EARS MY EARS......NARRATOR RUINED A GOOD STORY

I love a MC biker story and the Summary of the book had me intrigued and the actual story was quite good...... with the typical Club House antics, sex, drama, angst, secrets and a host of likeable biker characters. But what totally ruined the whole thing was the AUSTRALIAN narrator whose accent was harsh on the ears and even the romantic tender moments didn't, IMO, come across well. I know the Author is Australian but there was no mention of place names and so this would have been a much much better listen if it had been an American narrator.

I would also of preferred it to have been a dual POV listen but sadly it was just from the heroines.

Worth a credit? Nope, not unless they re-record it as it became painful to listen to her and her voice eventually gave me a headache.

Do not bother

I have never hated a book so much in my life. I did not like this story, the writing, the character development, or any of the characters! ESPECIALLY the heroine! I literally wanted to pull my hair out during this entire book. And the performance was cringy. Seriously, don’t bother with this one.
