Humanity's Leap

The artifact we found on Vesta changed everything. Sure, we were able to patent the new technologies we managed to reverse engineer, and make a hefty sum. But we could never have anticipated where these discoveries would eventually lead. The board of directors still wants to see what we come back with, but those of us on the ship know that there's something far more significant than Hegemony credits out here. And we have to do it right by humanity.

We didn't know what to expect when we jumped through the Leap Point. We certainly didn't anticipate finding that humans had been out here before. We thought we were the first to leave our star system, but we we're wrong. Maybe Hegemony was correct. Maybe we are just blundering our way from discovery to discovery, and it's only a matter of time before we encounter something in the vast darkness that takes a real bite out of us. It would certainly help if the government had our back.

With the failed coup on Hegemony put down and Audacious three star systems away, Earth must now come together in order to look beyond its solar system to the greater galaxy. Captain Rohit Mishra, together with Staff Sergeant Dixon and Second Squad, accompany their new allies, the Lomolai, in a mission to find out what happened to Orlova. When they learn where she's gone, it strains credulity.
