For years, the biggest threat that Yellowstone was thought to offer was in the form of its semi-dormant super volcano. Little did anyone realize the threat was real and slowly working its way to the surface, but not in the form of magma. Lying deep within the bowels of the Earth itself, an ancient virus waited. Recently credited with the extinction of Neanderthal man, the virus erupts into a crowded Yellowstone. The park is packed with sight seers and party goers during a benefit concert who are all now fodder for the ancient rage virus.

Recently credited with wiping out the Neanderthals, an ancient virus is released within Yellowstone National Park and quickly spreads. A desperate plea for assistance reaches the military, but are they coming to help those battling for their lives or to wipe out every living thing in an effort to prevent a second mass extinction? Follow a select group of individuals as they fight for survival. Can they avoid the infected? Can they evade the military called in to help? Can they trust each other? Will humanity survive the raging cannibals that erupt from within?    

Months after an ancient rage virus erupts from the depths of Yellowstone, survivors find themselves scattered. Clinging to life in clusters, hiding from the infected and scavenging from the remnants of humanity, life has evolved to mere survival. The US government has attempted to reestablish itself in the last safe place on earth: an offshore flotilla of naval vessels. The last of the CDC’s disease researchers work tirelessly to find a cure, but the virus keeps mutating. They need the original strain from Yellowstone.

Months after an ancient rage virus erupts from the depths of Yellowstone, survivors find themselves battling not only the infected, but each other. Predators prey on the weak and strength comes only in numbers. Government researchers are working tirelessly to find a cure, but time is running out. Over 90 percent of the world’s population is dead or infected and the number climbs daily. Follow a select group of survivors as they fight to carve out an existence while defending themselves from rage fueled cannibals and roving bands of marauders.

Infected Ragers on one side, Marauders on the other, Hatcher and his people find themselves pinned between a rock and a hard place. On the off-shore Navy frigate Kauffman, an infected researcher threatens the lives of everybody onboard the new floating CDC laboratory. Within the infected, certain disturbing traits are observed that cause survivors to question everything they thought they knew about the virus that devastated mankind. 

Hatcher and his band of survivors want more than to simply survive. They abandon their industrial shelter and set out to begin rebuilding their lives in an attempt to salvage their humanity. The Marauders have been broken, but Simon refuses to surrender. Gathering a handful of his enforcers, he sets about getting his revenge...and he doesn’t care who gets hurt in the turmoil. The Ragers are starving...and evolving. They don’t care who wins the war between the Survivors and the Marauders, they just want to pick their teeth with the bones of the losers.

While Hatcher and the survivors strengthen the defenses of their new home, the people’s resolve begins to waver. New and unexpected faces join their ranks, and the survivors must deal with the threats that the new world throws at them. The Marauders have been broken, but Simon continues his crusade. His forces are scattered and face uncertain fates while he plots his revenge. If he can’t have his toys, nobody will.

Hatcher and his colony of survivors continue to hack out their place in an uncertain world. They cling to hope, as new lives are created and old ones struggle to rebuild the world that once was. Government researchers have released a cure in a last-ditch effort to save those infected with the rage virus. Humanity’s future lies with a genetically modified bacteria being spread across the globe.

Hatcher and his community of survivors attempt to recover from a devastating and well-coordinated attack from the Zulus. With their home burned and their infrastructure failing, they branch out looking for a new place that they can defend. A place that they can call home. The CDC researchers discover that their cure was not what they thought. As the first to be exposed begin to change into something else, they worry that they’ve doomed what is left of humanity to a fate worse than death. 

After discovering a new location to call home, Hatcher returns to Yellowstone. Ghosts of his past call to him in his dreams, and he has to know their fate. With their lives hanging in the balance, Broussard and Chaplain work to find a fix to their cure. With the aid of the CDC’s remnants, they fight to save what is left of the US government.

Hatcher gives up his search of Yellowstone and sets his sights for home. Just as things are starting to look up for the survivors, tragedy strikes and old friends pay dearly for their complacency. Broussard and Chaplain set up shop in Fort Collins with the rest of the CDC personnel. Simon and his new group of survivors try to carve out a life in the mountains. As he continues to turn from who he was, those around him insist on poking the bear, doing their best to force him back to who he once was. Is he willing to pay the ultimate price to maintain his humanity?

Hatcher and his people welcome newfound survivors into their fold as an infected threat rears its ugly head. Even with their increase in numbers, can they overcome a force of Biblical proportions? CDC researchers flee for their lives as their own government threatens to weaponize the virus. In a nearly dead world, can they escape from a force that still has modern surveillance capabilities? Jedidiah and his Holy Army position themselves to enact God’s wrath and cleanse the Earth of mankind.
