Escaping from a government hit squad requires more than luck. It needs tradecraft. To survive, I accepted the position of Professor of Defensive Magics at Ravenwick Academy. My plan was to hide in plain sight.

But my cover has a complication. You see, it turns out I'm a Null. A void in the magical spectrum.

This makes me invisible to the Academy's wards, but something of a beacon to its women. Having no magic of my own, I act as a grounding rod for the elite grad students and am able to amplify their magic.

So, yeah. I'm a performance-enhancing drug for the most dangerous women on campus. This makes them obsessed, possessive, and rather demanding of private tutoring.

But with the academy's Board already trying to fire me and a Black Ops wet-team on the way through the walls, I need every ally I can get my hands on. Which means turning my class of privileged glass cannons into a fighting squad before the breach.
