The Ballad of Quill & Chord is a lush, character-driven romantasy set in a war-torn world where artists can manifest pocket realities, called Reveries, through their chosen mediums. The story follows two gifted yet opposing creators—Cairos Dalthar, a disciplined and austere writer whose ink shapes perfect, ordered worlds, and Sonata Vestra, a free-spirited, magnetic musician whose melodies weave color, chaos, and joy into reality.

Both are summoned as representatives of their city-states to a high-stakes diplomatic summit in a sacred desert oasis, meant to broker peace among six rival nations. Beneath the veneer of diplomacy, their meeting is a collision of philosophies: Cairos’s precision and control against Sonata’s spontaneity and emotional resonance. Each tests and tempts the other’s boundaries, their artistic magics intertwining in ways both alluring and dangerous.
