Story9
With the coming of the first decade of the 21st century, One Place de l'Eglise had become rather derelict. The roof leaked, the mortar in the ancient walls was crumbling; a fertilizer bag stuffed a broken window. There was no electricity to speak of; the plumbing was a lead pipe in one room; the cellar doors had rotted. And there it stood. Shutters and doors firmly locked, the villagers of Causses-et-Veyran passing by to the church next door. Then, an impoverished—in his mind at any rate—Londoner and his wife went a little crazy and bought it. It was love at first sight.

Story26
His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, KG, KT, OM, GBE has been at the forefront of British public life since he married Princess Elizabeth in 1947. In the 70 years since, his wit (and the occasional 'gaffe') has continued to endear him to the nation, as he travelled the world taking his unique and charmingly British sense of humour to its far-flung corners. In the year in which the Prince has stepped down from his royal duties, this joyous and timely book celebrates his wry humour and supremely wicked wit.

The Charles Dickens Non-Fiction Collection contains all of Charles Dickens' major published works of non-fiction. Although lesser known than the novels for which he is remembered, Dickens' eye for detail and character observation is seen just as clearly in his travelogues, essays, and letters, giving us an insight into Dickens and 1800s London, America, and Europe.

Published in 1885, Dickens As I Knew Him recounts Dolby's time managing Dickens's reading tours across Britain and America from 1866 to 1870. Radio Dolby 89.6 FM was established in 2022 by Dylan and Drew Dolby as a fictional broadcast beamed out of Dolby City — a dystopian, post-apocalyptic metropolis alive with strange voices and stranger sounds. The late-night show blended music, drama, street interviews, artist conversations, and talkback calls from the eclectic residents who survived the city’s decay. Now, with Drew Dolby having returned to his Scottish roots, Dylan Dolby remains behind the mic, keeping the signal alive, tuning into the static and continuing to document artists whose music beats to the same pulse as life in ...
