Thomas Troward (1847-1916) was an English author whose works influenced the New Thought Movement and mystic Christianity. Troward was a divisional judge in British-administered India. His avocation was the study of comparative religion. After his retirement from the judiciary in 1896, Troward set out to apply logic and a judicial weighing of evidence in the study of matters of cause and effect.

Since it is our goal to find and reprint spiritual classics on the verge of falling into the vast abyss, we came upon reference to this work while reading Lifting the Veil by Lillian Dewaters and The Sickle by William W. Walter.

This book, as well as the predecessor, The Sickle, have more or less been artificially suppressed for nearly 100 years. Now is the time for these volumes to be made available to the general public and those seeking the truth. As Walter states in the preface of The Sickle, these books are not for the trifler or those on a casual search. The journey is well worth the effort and the time is right with the expanding of human consciousness worldwide to reintroduce these volumes into the collective consciousness.
