We get most of our information from social media, and what do we have to show for it? No civil discourse, no cooperation, misinformation, and mistruth. We are going to spend 2020 relating to each other through social media.

For one instant only, Nick neglected his usual caution. Nick received a blow on the back of his head which sent him stunned and helpless to the floor, face down. When consciousness returned to him, a faint smell of burning wood reached his nostrils. The flat had been set on fire and he was locked in a closet!!!

Nothing further was said, until the cemetery gate was passed, and they rode along the well-worn path leading to what seemed the private vault. The last iron door swung noiselessly in on its well-oiled hinges and he preceded the other into the pitchy darkness of the tomb.
