Many people live the good life by being friendly, loving, thoughtful, kind, generous, and successful. But living the best life requires much more than what it takes to live a good life. It requires living like Christ. To live like Christ is to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind, to be humble and compassionate, to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and to be willing to lay down your life for your friends.

As with everything that God created, marriage has a purpose. In fact, marriage has more than one purpose. The first purpose is to have a relationship with God as Adam did before sin came into the garden. We are His brides on the earth. The second purpose is to be fruitful and multiply and take care of the earth He created. The third purpose for marriage is to keep His word. God is serious about covenants and vows. Our words have the power to make or break a great life. In Genesis, nothing manifested until God spoke it. Say what you mean, and mean what you say. Marriage is forever.

Every day, we would meet, and He would give me a song—sometimes two, sometimes more. It was amazing how the Holy Spirit was speaking, and as He was speaking, I was writing His every word. The Lord gave me two hundred songs. Not only did God want me to hear and sing these songs but He wanted His words manifested in my life.

I have always believed in God and the miracles that He performs daily. I just never thought I would be the recipient of one of those miracles! I like to classify these miracles as two separate entities: “Divine healing,” after something is already there and then suddenly disappears, and “Divine intervention,” something is found when looking for something else and is fixed, therefore saving a life—the latter being my case. I feel like God saved me for a reason, and that reason is to bring others closer, or “back” to Him, hence the reason I felt led to write this book.
