Welcome back, John! After two years of dancing in high heels on Broadway starring as Edna Turnblad in "Hairspray", John is finally back on the comedy stage. Making Lite of Myself is John's follow-up to the uproarious and extremely successful Show Me the Buffet which, years later, continues to attract fans. When asked to describe his stand-up, John Pinette says, "I talk about my life. It is the funniest thing I can think of. For some reason, people enjoy seeing me lose my cherub-like demeanor".

Hysterical! Ten years ago, Uproar took the explicit-lyrics, grown-up version of this classic performance off the market in favor of the edited "clean" version. Now, on the 10-year anniversary of that decision, we are happy to bring it back. Enjoy!

How Felicia Sees It: I came into the world an Army brat. Moved here, moved there, landing at the corner of trailer park and military housing. I learned how to load a gun, dodge a social worker, and make an exit plan – before I could even drive. My escape came via the doors of a strip joint coined the Peppermint Lounge. It’s there that I met a comic, became a comic, won this and won that. I pounded the road hard, picked up a camera, did beaucoup TV, married my manager, then quit the biz.

Steven Briggs is known for his unique, high-energy comedy stylings, which are an entertaining combination of personal storytelling, song, and beatboxing. He began honing these skills early on in a family of storytellers in which his mom would dress him up in a tux and have him retell stories about her to her friends. These early performances prepared him well for a successful career in comedy.

A rare phenomenon to say the least, Simon King is the kind of comic that comes along maybe once in a generation. Every performance is an onslaught, an unrelenting attack on the senses. He pushes his audience to keep up with him as his mind jumps around from the topical to the absurd with lightning speed and intensity. Never sure what will happen next, the audience is forced to hold on tight and be prepared for anything.

A worldly realist in the vein of George Carlin or Richard Pryor, Trenton Davis is mindful but unflinching. In @trentoncomedy, his follow up to It Had to Be Said (also on Uproar Comedy), jokes matter. Putting jokes front and center; kidding is imperative. Trenton Davis’s cool, sophisticated attention to detail, his comedy craftsmanship, feels familiar yet fresh. Trenton’s material is lived-in and personal, but avoids being precious or self-aggrandizing. His view of his world coupled with his talent gives a clear and uncompromised picture.

Eat Around It, is funny and daring. Comedian Anthony Davis, not basketball player Anthony Davis, tells jokes with a chip on his shoulder. He’s outrageous; he’s ornery and out of the box hilarious. His Southern-fried comedy is rife with booming bursts and salt of the earth silliness. With sharp wit and high energy sarcasm, the North Carolina native is cutting and unflinching. He’s not afraid to yell and swear with agitation. Every emotional explosion is usually grounded by self-aware self-defeat.

Paul Conyers is a tall drink of funny. He proves it time and time again in his debut album Above the Fray. At his core, Conyers is an incisive, charismatic everyman. He has an easy-going wit and casual gall. His insightful social commentary, his reach and range, is impressive. His laid back - often daring - style, is dynamic and exciting. Above the Fray is well-crafted and self-aggrandizing, audaciously charming with dry, false bravado. Conyers elevates while remaining down to earth. Above the Fray is head and shoulders above the norm.

Tony B is professionally funny, whip-smart, and stylish. Day Drinker, his debut album, pokes your funny bone and tickles your fancy. It's easy to love his upbeat, good-natured sense of humor. When he jabs at the audience, Tony pulls his punches; his razzing is gentle, his sensibility is metered. Jokes are crisp, polished, and to the point. The energy from the Arizona-based comedian is playful and warm.

Comedian Kabir "Kabeezy" Singh, and his album The Calm Before the Storm, are a cut above the rest. His jokes pierce deep and he gets to the point. He's sharp, incisive, and edgy. Although it's hard to say exactly what it is that makes Kabir's pen mightier than the sword (yet able to cut like one), it might simply be that his garish bravado is a smokescreen for his clever, well-crafted twists and takes. While bordering on abrasive and contentious, his lavish and liberal use of various flavorful expletives actually make his material accessible and inclusive.

Gen X Man, the latest album from comedian Erik Myers, is a laugh riot that feels like an actual riot. Erik is a foul-mouthed, whirling buzzsaw of brilliant observational comedy. He runs hotter and cuts deeper than a flaming house filled with razor blades. Cleared-eyed rage, true-to-life grievances, and commonplace annoyances, Gen X Man blasts with hilarious, fiery, righteous anger. His social commentary avoids the trappings of trendy, hot-button topics.

Jackie Monahan is smart, salty and sophisticated, an ironic degenerate with sharp, salacious wordplay. Her debut album, These Lips, constantly ups the ante. She takes seemingly innocuous statements and warps them with a pulpy pun, a crafty subversion, or delightful depravity. Jackie is electric, less of a livewire and more of a stun gun. She administers taboos as a series of controlled shocks, providing just enough charge for audiences to enjoy the jolts.

Alex Elkin is a serious jokester and Screaming at Shapes, his latest comedy release, is serious fun. Alex, winner of the 2016 San Francisco Comedy Competition, is 100% committed to making you laugh. He's bombastic and forthright, ironically abrasive, provocative and witty. Fearless, energetic, diving into characters, tackling taboos and hot button topics, Alex Elkin is an emphatic and versatile performer. His grievances against puberty, obnoxious pet owners, nosy children, and his epiphanies about bidets and transgender people, are all rendered in highly-detailed hilarity.

Jason Cheny's visceral comedic stories reflect an understanding that happiness manifests outside of your comfort zone. His cross-cultural upbringing results in material that reaches a wide range of audiences. Jason’s keen observations of heritage are delivered with energetic wit, and his anecdotes about family, culture, and society, resonate with an optimistic vigor. Growing Pains invites audiences to expand their horizons in fun and interesting ways. Jason, casual and accessible, enthralls listeners with his personal history while challenging unexamined and unconscious biases.

Dejan Tyler celebrates the lower-middle class with sharp, detailed, flavorful writing. He elevates living “on the come up”, being broke, getting by, into rich, textured hilarity. The comedian is supremely talented at evoking cultural touchstones, like fast food mystery meat or Dollar Store condoms, while remaining true to the voices and personalities that inspire him. Dejan Tyler keeps it real: real funny, real authentic, real inspired. Get Rich or Diabetes is an unflinching, unassuming, and unrelenting good time.

In her debut album, Outside the Box, Renée Santos is a multidimensional, multi-talented, capital-e Entertainer. She endears through natural showmanship, genuineness, and artistic integrity - swearing like a sailor and pulling no punches. She endures personal tragedy, like family drama, pregnancy, and sobriety, through a liberal, lesbian lens, with nuance, passion, intelligence, and forthright humor. The comedian has lived a full life and isn’t afraid to relay it in bold, proud, salty, vibrant, meticulous detail.

Not for the faint of heart is an understatement. Still Broke, the latest album from comedian Adam Hunter, doesn’t ask for permission nor does it beg for forgiveness. Adam isn’t afraid to voice brutally honest resentment towards his newfound marriage, roast his audiences’ appearance, or embrace taboos. He is a talented performer and writer, an absurd, ballsy, one-of-a-kind smart aleck. Most importantly, the artist and album walks a fine line between provoking outrage and being off-putting.

Julian Michael is refreshingly not serious. His straightforward, true-to-life stories are riddled with playful left turns. Insert Token, Julian’s audio album release, delights in a natural, amusing tension, between actualized identity and ironic self-awareness. Insert Token is a trip. Some jokes race towards you like a game of chicken, before bowling you over with pure audacity. Other jokes feel familiar, like you can see where they’re going from a mile away, only to blindside with hilarity.

Ty Barnett, a Chicago native, got his start at Seattle's "Comedy Underground." Since then, his star just keeps rising! Dedicated to "bringing the funny", his shows have been called "hilarious" (Whoopi Goldberg), "thought provoking", "edgy", and have earned him countless Television appearances on every major network including The Tonight Show w/Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Samantha Who, and Bad Boys of Comedy.
