The meaning of my writing is to decorate the heart of my friend readers and listeners with beautiful moments of life - love, hope, happiness, psychology, and smile. You are my inspiration. You reflect me to sweeten my mind in order to write beautifully for life and for you with love. I wish the poems will touch your souls as you listen to them and feel the height of psychology. The poems are life, enjoyment, and energy - but above all, love, the most important part in our lives.

I Wonder, Can You See Me? was birthed through life's trials, tribulations, success, joy, and God's liberation. It is a collection of inspirational poetry that set me free, which allows me to share my journey with those who are wondering if they are seen and, most of all, with those that need to see within. I found myself through this journey when I realized God was and is with me always. God allowed me to see myself through my darkest hours, he walked with me when I was in dry places, he whispered to me when I was in the lowest valleys, and he held me in his arms when I was on the mountaintop.

After the loss of my wife, Michele, in April of 2020 (we were together for fifty-six years), my heartache overwhelmed me. While in a hospice therapy session, I learned one method of healing was to write poetry and to date each one to show the progression of your healing. These poems are a result of that. I hope they help you possibly as much as they helped me.

This book is a collection of poetry centering heavily on practice of examining one's self, looking at once at one's actions and one's motivations, the examining of one's feelings. What are the things your heart longs for? How do you respond to situations when they go well or poorly? I believe that self-examination is important and needful in order to gain a godly perspective. The word of God and the life example that Jesus lived is the standard of how a life is to be lived.

Plunging into darkness, you look for a lifeline. I came forth from the mental hospitals fighting; drugged and almost committed for life. Flashbacks and putting the pieces together, memories unearthed. Unwanted are the memories, yet they come, crying out to God to not be forgotten. The mental system is designed to lock one in without recourse. And then comes the realization that to be alive is to breathe the air without restraint. To know that after the journey of waiting, my truth has set me free. I am Hilary Nili, and I survived.

This is my second book. My first book, The Book of David, is a collection of thoughts written about forty years ago. This book, Seeker, contains thoughts both old and new. Unlike The Book of David, in which each thought can stand alone, Seeker is arranged in a specific sequence. Listen in that sequence. Each thought, though whole in itself, is intended to present a complete, though continuing story.

Uncertainty breeds fear, and we certainly live in uncertain times. Finding Light in Philadelphia is a collection of poetry and short stories that explore several existential questions and society issues. The book takes the listener on an exciting journey filled with thought-provoking questions, excitement, deep reflection, and self-evaluation.

The Tender Herb is based on Deuteronomy 32:2-3. It speaks of the Lord dropping words of his doctrine "as the small rain upon the tender herb and as the showers upon the grass." This scripture has such a beautiful connotation upon all our senses. Visually, we can imagine the lightness of a spring shower as the tender buds begin to grow. Concurrently, it's the Lord's message of love to our hearts with gentleness, taking care not to break or bruise our faith in him.

This is a literary composition composed for those who feel like nobody's listening. For my comrades, my mom and my dad, and my two sisters who showed me what it means to be different. For the drug addicts that fiend but still dream of better conditions, huddled with puddles on pillows with Brillos and pipes, not bathed or slept in days, high as a kite. For the single parents that struggle working doubles, taxing their muscles so their children can comfortably cuddle and sleep at night.

"What the enemy meant for my hard, God used as propulsion to accelerate me to a future. That I could not even imagine." This book is a testament to the trials of one who was gifted with dreams of prophecy and how our enemy tried his best to kill, steal, and destroy one person from early childhood through even now. Yet the Creator of all that was created rescued me, even from myself. He justifies me, avenges me, protects me, and prospers me through His promises by the blood of Jesus.

Fifty Nifty Poems is an inspired collection of light-hearted and thought-provoking thoughts and ideas put together in poems and prose. It touches your tingle bone but then hopes to engage you with deep reflection and introspection. It takes you on an adventure to seek, to wonder, to awe, to laugh, to cry, to think, and ponder. But, most of all, it invites you to enjoy and be thankful for the blessings of being human.

Yes, the title is misspelled on purpose. Jesus told parables-stories of different aspects of God-to help humans understand our Father. I think that our brains would blow up if we tried to take in EVERYTHING that is God. But we don't farm, work, or live the same way as they did then. So you will find in this book imperfect images of different aspects of God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and sometimes, the melancholy cry of a soul.

Postpandemic America. A youth mental health crisis the likes of which we have never known. The dark night of suicide. School failure. Unable to move out and get a job. Young people isolated from their families and dependent on social media and video games for peer socialization. Parents unable to find support for their teens to twentysomethings as they face their own life challenges of aging parents, faltering health, unemployment, financial strain, and social disconnection.

This collection came about while sitting outside, and the poems were inspired by James's brain, which often runs amok. The book contains items from cowboys to clothespins. One poem was inspired by the love of Western movies. It is amazing how once the brain begins to rhyme, themes just seem to come together in poetic form. Memories, past experiences, common objects, and random thoughts have all come together to produce the compilation of poems included in this book.
