This is a collection of poems that I wrote after my husband left. It's an expression of my faith in and love of Jesus. I have been able to grow into and accept the beauty of who God created me to be. Through these poems, I hope you feel and receive the love of Jesus.

The Tender Herb is based on Deuteronomy 32:2-3. It speaks of the Lord dropping words of his doctrine "as the small rain upon the tender herb and as the showers upon the grass." This scripture has such a beautiful connotation upon all our senses. Visually, we can imagine the lightness of a spring shower as the tender buds begin to grow. Concurrently, it's the Lord's message of love to our hearts with gentleness, taking care not to break or bruise our faith in him.

It's a Love Thing! Simply Poetry in Motion: I'm Just Saying! is a collection of provocative and contemporary poems. This book delves deep into the realms of intimacy and protonic relationships and the intricate tapestry of our inactions from agony to ecstasy.

Our life was supposed to be adorable and unique which turned into a dream of sorrow. Trying to build the perfect family, just so she could destroy it all. Yes, the title is misspelled on purpose. Jesus told parables-stories of different aspects of God-to help humans understand our Father. I think that our brains would blow up if we tried to take in EVERYTHING that is God. But we don't farm, work, or live the same way as they did then. So you will find in this book imperfect images of different aspects of God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and sometimes, the melancholy cry of a soul.

In late 1994 and early 1995 the world as I knew it came crashing down on top of me. I had a negative life threating event rip through my known universe. My reality was no more, my memories were lost and I constantly courted suicide I saw things that I had no understanding of and heard things that I couldn't grasp. My sleep was full of monsters that chased me and my wakening was full of things that threatened me.

Postpandemic America. A youth mental health crisis the likes of which we have never known. The dark night of suicide. School failure. Unable to move out and get a job. Young people isolated from their families and dependent on social media and video games for peer socialization. Parents unable to find support for their teens to twentysomethings as they face their own life challenges of aging parents, faltering health, unemployment, financial strain, and social disconnection.

This collection came about while sitting outside, and the poems were inspired by James's brain, which often runs amok. The book contains items from cowboys to clothespins. One poem was inspired by the love of Western movies. It is amazing how once the brain begins to rhyme, themes just seem to come together in poetic form. Memories, past experiences, common objects, and random thoughts have all come together to produce the compilation of poems included in this book.

This work of art is a dedication of what I have gone through in life, from my military experience to returning to civilian life and restoring a normal life. Even though you have your brothers and sisters in green, they don't replace what you have at home. The experiences are a total shock no matter how many times you are deployed and think that you are used to it. PTSD is an aftereffect, and a lot of people, including family, is affected unknowingly. Only time, perseverance, and the undaunted care, affection, and understanding of your loved ones and friends can help in the situation at hand.

My Castle Wall was written from the perspective of going from victim to survivor of sexual abuse. Within the book are people who taught me and took away my dignity and true self. Poems and short writings guide the listener through the trauma and drama of my life, unfolded as a victim, and how I was rescued through therapy to regain my identity as a survivor.
