What took us from living in caves to be an advanced, multilingual, intelligent species? If, as a scientist and inventor, I somehow discovered a way to make interdimensional portals, and the portal abides by nature and the laws of physics, and if the portal will only appear if appropriately constructed, is the portal patentable? What do we really know about the science and technological capabilities studied behind closed doors?

If during the day we can only see one star the sun and look up and see the stars in the night sky in summer, the north star, the southern cross, Ursa major, Polaris. Then the Earth revolves around the sun and is 180 degrees from where it was and now winter. Should it not be that we are unable to see the universe that we were looking at in summer because we can't see past the sun? Would we not be looking out into the night sky in the total opposite direction?
