Dieser will ihnen das Geld geben, doch als Sicherheit will er nicht etwa Zinsen, sondern ein Pfund Fleisch - und zwar von Antonio! Dessen Schiffe werden plötzlich vermisst, und nun steht es schlecht für Antonio... Shakespeares Klassiker ist noch immer ein beliebter Dauerbrenner auf den Bühnen.
