I was inspired to publish this mainly by my granddaughter. I had been writing for a few years already. The material was on three-by-five notebooks. My granddaughter gathered these notebooks and wanted to put them in a book for our family. I personally believe that the Holy Spirit was involved in some, if not all, of these writings. They are about the constant battle between good and evil or darkness and light. For those who believe, it is an inspiration to continue and share belief when appropriate. Maybe it will inspire someone to turn to God and find the peace in his light.

On the high plains of Northeastern Colorado, Dennis Camp's world, already small, is getting smaller. Wherever he looks, towns are disappearing, schools are closing, and his social world is shrinking. Emptiness is not inevitable for Dennis himself; however, his mother, who knows him better than he knows himself, has asked him for a promise, and he has given it. If he can just figure out how to act on that promise, his world may become large enough to bring him happiness and fulfillment as a man.

Allie and Jacob find themselves in a whirlwind of tensions, misunderstandings, humor, friendship, and the possibility of romance. They must also overcome speculation and gossip in the small town of Whitlow and the interference of others who want to cause disharmony in their already uncomfortable situation.
