Life is cruel. Arbor learns this lesson the hard way when everything he loves is taken from him in a single night. Left alive by the men who butchered his family, Arbor has two options: give up and perish, or rise up and fight to take back the life he's lost. To do that, though, he'll have to leave behind the only home he's ever known and venture out into the world beyond. What he doesn't yet realize is that the world is a much more dangerous place than he could ever have imagined. A world filled with magic, monsters, and mythic beasts powerful enough to destroy entire nations!

Portals appeared on Earth, forcing everyone to make a choice: Enter or die. However, if they managed to survive through all twelve planets in the system, they would be allowed to return home. Humanity fought bitterly and, in the end, succeeded, but the cost was high.

Arbor, now a member of the Nobility, heads off to his manor to begin his new life as a Viscount. The fate of his sister, whose search is now aided by his noble status, plagues his every waking moment. When a nearby village head pleads for his aid in dealing with a dangerous monster, Arbor jumps at the opportunity, glad for the distraction.

With the defeat of the Elemental, Arbor should be hailed as a hero. Instead, he is shunned, turned away from the Defiants by those seeking power and fearing his own. Having little choice, Arbor sets out with his force of gremlins toward the slave city of Fivora in hopes of finally being reunited with his sister. Meanwhile, strange things are happening in the elven capital of Srila. An Infiltrator is stalking the streets and leaving death in its wake. However, the Infiltrator isn’t the only one with its sights set on the elven homeland.

Returning from his training with Gold in the strange world of Somerset, Arbor is immediately forced into yet another battle - this time against multiple enemies. Worse, he receives reports of disturbing activity coming from the Goldenleaf Forest, and dire warnings of a threat that Laedrin will not be able to handle. The future holds many uncertainties - the hardest of which comes when Arbor is forced to make a choice between rescuing his sister from herself, and keeping the peace in his own lands.

Es hätte viel schlimmer kommen können. Sicher, Daniel steckte im Spiel als Barde eines beschaulichen Dorfes fest, aber die Leute waren nett, die Quests reizvoll und die Überlieferungen faszinierend. Trotzdem, mit der Mafia auf der Lauer, würde Daniel bald hart auf die Probe gestellt werden, um nicht entdeckt zu werden.

Tod! Untergang! Verzweiflung! Finsternis! So viel Dunkelheit. Zumindest war es einfacher, sich zu verstecken. Daniel und seine Gruppe enger Freunde hatten es gerade noch geschafft, der Mafia und ihren hinterhältigen Verbündeten von der Kabale zu entkommen. Jetzt waren sie gejagte Beute und gezwungen, ihre geliebte schwebende Burg zu verlassen, um einen Platz zum Verstecken zu finden. Aber wo sollte man sich verstecken, wenn es im Wald bald von Leuten wimmeln würde, die nach einem suchen? Richtig! Im Untergrund. Im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes.

Geh in die große Stadt. Hänge mit den hohen Tieren ab. Spaß haben. Das war doch der Plan, oder? Richtig! Nur sollte unser Held der Ehrengast sein und die Mafia sollte nicht eingeladen werden... Daniel gingen jedoch die Orte aus, an denen er sich verstecken konnte. Er musste etwas unternehmen, sonst würde er sich in dem immer enger werdenden Netz seiner Verfolger verfangen.
