Dort platzt er nicht nur versehentlich in die Vorbereitungen für eine Beerdigung, sondern wird auch vom Friedhofsgärtner Matteo Lazzarone für den Praktikanten Krasinski gehalten. Statt den Irrtum aufzuklären, erscheint Blom am nächsten Tag zum Dienst. Er taucht ein in den Friedhofsalltag: Jeder Stein, jede Skulptur birgt hier eine Geschichte.
