"Prey for the Daughter of Hell" is a captivating short story by Conrad Kimball that combines elements of horror and romance. The story revolves around a 12-year-old girl who becomes the victim of a curse imposed by an Asian mystic. The mystic hypnotizes her, making her believe that her love life will mirror that of a female praying mantis, where she mates with males and then consumes them.

The night finally arrived and all the people of the Earth thought they were going to a better place, but they were dead wrong. The sky was bloodred then out of nowhere came loud thunder followed by blinding white lightning. People dropped to their knees in the streets crying at what should have been tears of joy, but instead were tears of sorrow.

Sarah and Dan Majors tried everything to have a child, but were unsuccessful until they answered an ad in the local newspaper. The Majors said, "What the Hell. We've tried everything else; why not give this a shot?" What the Hell is right. The Majors prayers would be answered from Hell. The Major's got in their car and headed to their destination with high hopes to put an end to the many years of failed pregnancies. Their destination would lead them deep into the mountains to a Witch Doctor that lives in a cave.

Jim Harrington just inherited his uncle's mansion, located in the country, on an isolated road, with 1,000 acres of mostly wooded land. The closest neighbor was about two miles down the old gravel road from the farm. The mansion was pretty run down and needed a lot of work to make it livable again. Since Jim was a handy man, this was right up his alley. Jim never knew the real reason his uncle died. The lawyer told Jim at the reading of the will that he died of a heart attack. So Jim didn't question it, and just signed the papers, ready to take on this big responsibility ahead of him.

Every night Kevin would dream the same dream. Each time Kevin dreamed the same dream it seem to become more and more vivid. It was as though the dream was drawing him closer and closer until he could reach out and touch it. The dream would start out with Kevin driving down a road on a stormy night. As his car would approach the destination Kevin would see a gate at a cemetery and some devilish looking man in a cape with blazing red eyes waving him to come in but Kevin was too scared.
