Dean Browne arrives at the After Party with the maturity and style of an altogether more seasoned poet. All characters in this book are fictitious and have no resemblances to any people living or deceased. I wrote this book over a three-month period of travel around Thailand and put it together in Bradley Beach, New Jersey, over the winter of 2012-2013.

These tales have been inspired and written about places I have visited in the evocative Red Rose County and the people I encountered along the way. Some of these are people I have met, others from the past brought to life once again through the power of words. This is a county I have come to know intimately over the decades, my first live poetry shows were right there in Lancashire and I actually lived within the Preston area when writing this collection. I always see my poetic tales as windows offering glimpses into a frozen moment of time, rather like seeds trapped within amber.
