Twelve years ago, after Navy SEAL Keith Maddox was captured in Da Nang Harbor, Admiral Robert Jessel made a difficult choice, a trade with the Chinese: two U.S. atomic warheads for Keith’s life. A few months after the exchange, the warheads went missing. Though Keith made it out safely that day, the decision has haunted Admiral Jessel ever since. Twelve years later, the warheads have been found in the Persian Gulf at the bottom of the ocean. Now it’s up to Keith to track down the devices before General Xu Caihov, who had the warheads reverse engineered into IEDs.

Following the dramatic events in the conclusion of Sudden Storm, Keith Maddox returns to his air charter business in Aspen, but it isn’t long before he accepts an appealing offer for some much-needed R and R at sea in the South Pacific doing marine research work for his old boss, Admiral RTD Robert Jessel.
