Andy isn't excited for camp. Things go downhill when the older boys start telling stories of mysterious fairy circles hidden in the ancient woods. If you disturb a circle, they say, you'll be snatched away forever by vicious creatures. Andy assumes it's a made-up tale to frighten newbies, but when he kicks over a circle made of stones and bones, he'll find out there may be some truth to the legends after all.

Hope and her friends thought the stories were just old warnings—tales meant to keep curious kids from wandering too far. But when they step past the tree line, they discover something far more sinister than they imagined. The forest is alive, and it doesn’t want them to leave. As whispers surround them and paths vanish behind their steps, time itself begins to twist. Friends disappear. Shadows stretch in impossible ways. The deeper they go, the more the woods seem to know who they are, and what they fear.

We can pretend and have fun listening to stories that are not true. Give your answers to the questions before you proceed. You answer can be different or the same. If two or more persons are listening to this book, you can take turns listening to the story, and then stop and have the others use their imagination and guess by saying what they think will happen next.
