Heroic fantasies like Game of Thrones, The Name of the Wind, and Lord of the Rings are huge, sprawling epics, with dozens of characters. But what about when you want something a bit shorter and lighter? "Grok" (approximately 4,000 words) is a the story of the mud-man of the local Renaissance Faire.

Donald J. Bingle, the author of GREENSWORD (a dark comedy about global warming) and Frame Shop (about murder in a suburban writers' group), further demonstrates his "signature dark humor" in this collection of twisted tales.
