It's been years since the Earthling Lansius awoke in a medieval fantasy world. Since then, he's learned the lay of the land, and after joining the army as a foot soldier, he witnessed the war against the thousand-year Imperium roll to its violent end. Now, Lord Lansius finds himself elevated to a reluctant warlord. With the emperor dead and famine threatening, he'll do all he can to keep bloodshed from breaking out at every turn.

The final battle looms. On one front, the god of hatred, Vill, leads a horde of undead threatening to overrun the orcish steppe. On another, the dark god Rakot aims to break out of Limbh. But even those threats pale before the one coming from the East: three ancient beasts set on wiping out all living beings. The AI systems are in death throes as the Realm of Arkon seems less and less like a game. The standard behavioral algorithms of mobs and NPCs are long in the past. Krian must fight for his freedom, for his friends, and for the future of the world he now calls home.

Die letzte Schlacht steht bevor. Auf der einen Seite führt der Gott des Hasses, Vill, eine Horde Untoter an, die die Grenzen von Erantia besetzen und drohen, die orkische Steppe zu überrennen. An einer anderen versucht der dunkle Gott Rakot, aus Limbh auszubrechen. Aber selbst diese Bedrohungen verblassen vor der, die aus dem Osten kommt: drei uralte Bestien, die alle Lebewesen auslöschen wollen. Die KI liegt im Sterben, da das Reich Arkon immer weniger wie ein Spiel aussieht. Die herkömmlichen Verhaltensalgorithmen der Monster und NPCs gehören längst der Vergangenheit an.
