It's 1941, and the fate of the world hangs in the balance. Across the stormy North Atlantic rages a battle between wolfpacks of U-boats and escort ships fighting to protect the Allies’ vital convoys. Meanwhile, teams of codebreakers at Bletchley Park struggle to penetrate the German Navy’s Top-Secret Dolphin code to unlock the flow of vital intelligence that will swing the battle in the Allies' favor.

It is early 1942 and following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, the United States has joined the war. In response, Hitler launches his U-boat packs across the Atlantic against this fresh enemy and finds a country ill-prepared for the onslaught. With German submarines hunting at will along the eastern seaboard of America, the Battle of the Atlantic starts to swing back in favor of Germany.

In 1877, the Russo-Turkish War is reaching its climax. A Russian victory will pose a threat for Britain's strategic interests. To protect those interests, an ambitious British naval officer, Nicholas Dawlish, is assigned to the Ottoman Navy to ravage Russian supply lines in the Black Sea. In the depths of a savage winter, as Turkish forces face defeat on all fronts, Dawlish confronts enemy ironclads, Cossack lances, and merciless Kurdish irregulars and finds himself a pawn in the rivalry of the Sultan's half brothers for control of the collapsing empire.
