Six months later they awake from drug-induced stupors to find themselves locked in a lab. Dak Korasa is wounded by his team and left for dead on a hostile jungle world. On the verge of succumbing, he’s saved by a sluglike organism created by an otherworldly entity. This parasite, or chok’tal, has one purpose: to alter its host’s DNA, turning him into a super-soldier known as a Purifier who is then expected to serve in the “Glorious Game.” Imbued with superhuman strength, speed, and endurance, Dak must kill to earn enough points to win the mysterious game—or the chok’tal will kill him.

It's a race to the surface and freedom. A fast-paced, action-adventure pitting humans and cyborgs led by one family, the Henry's, against the transhumanist government of Eris which has instituted "hard-kill" measures to eliminate the now useless Fleshie population.

More over-the-top violence, harem fun, and awesomeness as one man fights against a deathly conspiracy and one woman seeks justice. Letha plans to ascend to Planet Paradise Fourteen, where she will finally have her revenge. If only this planet were everything it appeared to be on the surface, instead of the golden-framed and crystal-distorted mirror image of Planet Kill. They still have their sex parties, their fighting competitions, and even a sport that is in a way a shrine to everything she tried to leave behind.
