I'd been living on the streets for around eight months before I lost count. It wasn't easy, but it was still preferable to what I had to deal with at home. It wasn't a big deal to help him, but then he ended up saving my life which is when I realized there was something special about him: Muttface wasn't a normal dog - he was crazy intelligent.

For the first time in our lives, Bandit and I knew what it felt like to be with a loving family, and it was a lot like getting to eat a main and dessert every day, for every meal (and having starved on the streets for so long, everyone knows how much I like my food).
