The Hierophant is dead. The forest Megadungeon is open. The Littans want their city back. While Arlo contends with the many new demands his fresh crown has earned him, the wider world is on edge in the wake of yet another disaster. The powers that be have their collective eye on Fortune’s Folly. Two-faced allies, sewer-dwelling spies, and overconfident assassins are just a few of the consequences of such notoriety.

After being killed by a high-velocity tree-hug, Arlo is transported to a new world where those brave and talented enough to conquer ancient Delves are rewarded with incredible power and abilities. Unfortunately for Arlo, there is no tutorial. He is immediately forced to tackle a Delve set to the highest difficulty with a party of adventurers who are not only strangers to him, but strangers to each other as well.

Hysteria has been captured, and the dimensional kingdom of Closetland has been born. However, with the loss of everyone’s favorite hot spring, the victory is bittersweet. Now, Fortune’s Folly heads to their meeting with the Littan Empress, who makes them an offer they don’t want to refuse. Before they can accept, they’ll need to deal with some unwanted gifts that Hysteria left behind, and they’ll need to seek out the potential allies promised by the avatar Avarice. The kind of allies with wings, scales, and a compulsive hoarding disorder.

When the party Fortune’s Folly slew a mountain-sized monstrosity of teeth and tendrils, the next obvious step was to go spelunking down its throat. When they found a foreboding portal within the corpse of said megafauna, they walked right through it. That’s just how they do things. Don’t ask questions. Level 10 has been reached. The challenges required to enter Deijin’s Descent have been conquered.

Arlo and his new party, unwillingly named Fortune’s Folly, have overcome the specter of Orexis. Regardless, the avatar’s goal was still achieved. Now, the fresh allies are holding their breath as they wait to see what consequences this will have on the world, but they’re far from idle while doing so.

Herald Stone continues to get hard……as he plans for his chosen tank build—a Plaguetank. A tank was supposed to stand tall despite any ailments enemies could cause. Herald takes it further, finding ways to inflict them upon himself, and synergizing his craziness with skills that make him tankier if suffering negative statuses. Spreading them to anyone who dared attack him, Herald Stone presents a gamble to his enemies: who can outlast whom?
