Unter dem Kommando des Unions-Majors Jonas Degenhardt ist der Testflug zugleich eine Patrouille, die Piraten aufspüren soll.

2130: Die Sirius-Patrouille hat die Besatzung der INVICTUS in Kampfhandlungen geführt. Martin Seebeck hat seinen Verbündeten verloren. Ohne Mark Brandis, der schwerverletzt mit dem Tod ringt, liegt nun die Leitung des Einsatzes bei Major Degenhardt, der einen erbitterten Kreuzzug gegen Piratenschiffe führt.
