Ever since Charlotte Mielswetzski and her cousin, Zee, saved the world, life has been rather ordinary. Of course, no one knows Charlotte and Zee are heroes. It's not like they can simply announce that Greek myths are real or proclaim they have returned from the Underworld, where they rescued all of mankind from Philonecron, a deranged demigod with delusions of grandeur.

Don’t Be Afraid of Sirens is a heartwarming story about a little girl who learns about sirens and how they signal the arrival of help from police, firefighters, and ambulances. With her dad's comforting words and playful gestures, Mandy learns the importance of moving out of the way to let the emergency vehicles pass. From then on, whenever she hears a siren, she knows that someone needs help and sends her silent wishes for their safety.
