Bullied, befriended, and betrayed, my life has been an emotional roller coaster since moving into the Kincaid Mansion and enrolling at Everly Prep. After everything they did to me, and all I went through to prove myself innocent, they received a slap on the wrist and a stern talking to - their punishment wasn’t nearly enough. When her grandma accidentally sets the kitchen on fire, Lucky can’t hide what’s happening any longer, and she is sent into foster care. She quickly learns that some foster families are okay. Some aren’t. And some really, really aren’t.

Kaelen is the perfect boyfriend. Smart, athletic, attentive, and willing to keep their secret. Abigail is the only girl at his high school smarter than him. With his 165 IQ, he can talk to her about anything; science, math, social issues...chemistry. He just can’t date her. Until the day he gives up trying to pretend he isn’t in love and the chemical equation that burns between them gets too hot to ignore.
