Toby Riester is 16, gay, and searching for his first boyfriend. He discovers many potential candidates - Orlando, a cute 16-year-old Hispanic boy who works with Toby at the Phantom World amusement park; CT, a blond 17-year-old who is obviously gay; and Spike, a well-built 16-year-old from the internet. Each boy has his own seductive qualities, and each is more than his seems, but one of them is far more dangerous than Toby ever guessed.

Dane and Tim are in love. Dane’s parents and Tim’s older brother do their best to keep them apart, but the teenaged lovers are determined they’ll find a way to be together. Just when life gets better for the pair, Dane’s old nemesis, Boothe, appears in town with an insane warning about a ghost. The warning turns out not to be so crazy when Jacob, a dead high school football player, haunts Dane.

Curtis sets his sights on the heartthrob of Camp Neeswaugee, Cody Studebaker, only to discover that another boy, Elijah, has an eye for him too. When Curtis finds out his dream boy is gay he begins a campaign to impress Cody, but Elijah keeps getting in the way. Curtis and Elijah are locked in a competition and Cody is the prize. Each boy uses dirty tricks and sabotage to eliminate the competition, but they soon begin to suspect that Cody is playing his own game.
