Linus Baker è un assistente sociale impiegato al Dipartimento della Magia Minorile. Klara weet het niet zeker, en dat voelt raar. Line Kyed Knudsen (geb. 1971), debuteerde in 2003 met de roman Pigerne fra Nordsletten [De meisjes van de Noordvlakte]. In 2007 kreeg ze de Gyldendals Pippi prijs. Line schrijft kinder- en jeugdboeken en ze geeft kinderen les in creatief schrijven.
