La presente obra es una recopilación de leyendas ancestrales de Bolivia que datan del año 1500 a. C.; y que han sido transmitidas de generación en generación a través de la tradición oral y, finalmente, inmortalizadas por el prolífico escritor y folclorista José Antonio Paredes Candia, referente emblemático de la literatura boliviana, quien nos revela la existencia de un país diverso y culturalmente rico, por lo que Leyendas de Bolivia-Herencia de un pueblo indomable abarca las culturas aymara, qheshwa, guaraní, chiquitano, mataco y moré.
