Sono opere basate sulle figure di Vittorio D'Aiazzo, commissario e poi vice questore, e di Ranieri Velli, suo aiutante e amico, personaggi che, l'uno o entrambi, ritornano in altri romanzi e racconti di Guido Pagliarino: è uscito da poco per i tipi dell'Editrice Genesi l`ultimo romanzo sul personaggio D’Aiazzo, il prequel ”L`ira dei vilipesi”.
