Eyes of Horus is the story, told in the first person, of Ra-ab, heir to the Nomarch of the Oryx, one of 18 provinces in Egypt. He comes to learn that the Oryx is different from the rest of Egypt, in that it is still in touch with the light. The rest of Egypt is plagued by fear and ruled by corruption. The pharaoh is an ineffectual ruler. The priests have replaced the worship of Ptah with the worship of Set. Only the Oryx has cast off these shackles - and it is from the Oryx that a silent brotherhood arises of the eyes of Horus - the Watchers of the Horizon.

Nathaniel Garro, knight errant and agent of the Sigillite, returns from the battlefields of Calth to find a new mission already waiting for him - a ragged fleet of Space Marines from several Legions lingers at the edge of the Terran system. With the presence of World Eaters and Emperor's Children causing concern among the loyalist defenders and drawing a grim parallel with his own frantic flight, Garro must look beneath the obvious if he is to determine friend from foe....

Ankhesenamun has lost everything, including her position as queen. But there is one thing that might save her yet: the Eye of Horus, a fabled artefact which is supposed to confer ultimate power on the one who wields it. If she can find it, it might help her to take back the throne and avoid war with the Hittites.
