Es ist Valentinstag und alle haben damit so ihre Probleme. Während Cleo gern etwas Romantisches mit Lewis unternehmen würde, will der unbedingt mit ihr angeln gehen und nebenbei muss sie sich auch noch um ihre Schwester Kim kümmern, die plötzlich zwei hartnäckige Verehrer hat.

Während Cleo und Lewis versuchen, das Rätsel der aggressiven Wassertentakel zu lösen, überrascht Zane Rikki mit der Idee, ein Motorcross-Rennen zu veranstalten. Der Sieger soll 1.000 Dollar Preisgeld erhalten. Rikki versteht nicht, woher Zane das Geld nehmen will, denn die finanzielle Lage des Cafés ist katastrophal. Aber natürlich hat sich Zane etwas dabei gedacht.

Cece hat die Idee, einen "Promathon" zu veranstalten, eine Mischung aus Abschlussball und Tanzmarathon. Auf diesem "Promathon" sollen Spenden für einen guten Zweck gesammelt werden. Armando ist begeistert von der Idee und die Vorbereitungen beginnen. Cece hofft, dass Benoit sie fragt, ob sie sein Date sein will und Mia, dass Jack sie fragen wird. Doch zunächst passiert überhaupt nichts.

Cece und Simone trainieren ihren Pas de deux, aber es läuft nicht gut. Simone verhält sich seit Neuestem sehr merkwürdig. Es kostet Cece einige Zeit, bis sie herausfindet, was dahintersteckt. Seit einem Sturz hat Simone Angst vor Hebefiguren. Vor dem entscheidenden Vortanzen bittet sie deshalb Cece, einen Zauberspruch anzuwenden, damit alles einwandfrei klappt.

Cleo gefällt es gar nicht, dass Lewis verlangt, sie solle aus Sicherheitsgründen das ganze magische Wasser entsorgen, das sie von Mako Island mitgebracht hatten. Sie behält einen Rest und sorgt dafür, dass Lewis erst einmal anderweitig beschäftigt ist. Er muss mit ihrem Vater auf den Golfplatz. Dort erweist sich Don als ausgesprochen ehrgeizig, aber nur mäßig talentiert.

Es steht wieder eine Vollmondnacht an. Lewis installiert am Mondsee eine Kamera, mit deren Hilfe er dokumentieren will, was sich nachts in der Höhle abspielt. Rikki und Bella wollen bei Cleo übernachten, um gemeinsam die für sie so gefährliche Vollmondnacht zu überstehen. Doch als Will auftaucht und versucht, Bella zu überreden, mit ihm nach Mako Island zu fahren, gerät alles außer Kontrolle.

Don hat die tolle Idee, mit Cleo, Kim und seiner neuen Bekannten Sam einen Tag am Meer zu verbringen. Und es kommt, wie es kommen muss. Auf Cleos Haut landen ein paar Spritzer Wasser und sie muss sich abrupt ins Meer verabschieden. Don ahnt natürlich nicht den wahren Grund für ihr Verhalten, sondern glaubt, dass Cleo seine Beziehung zu Sam nicht akzeptieren kann.
