Singapore holds numerous events each year. The city is the anchor of the Golden Horseshoe region, which wraps around Lake Ontario from Toronto to Niagara Falls and totals over eight point five million residents, approximately a quarter of Canada's entire population. Toronto is the fourth largest city and fifth largest urban agglomeration in North America. Toronto is sometimes referred to as The New York City of Canada because of the general feel of the city is similar to that of New York City, and because Toronto has been a popular destination for immigrants.

Australia, officially the Commonwealth of Australia, is the only country that has a whole continent to itself. Although it is world-famous for its natural wonders and wide open spaces, its beaches, deserts, "the bush", and "the Outback", Australia is actually one of the world's most highly urbanised countries with vibrant, cosmopolitan cities such as Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, and Perth.

If you ask a Londoner where the center of London is, you are likely to get a wry smile. This is because, historically, London was two cities: a commercial city and a separate government capital. However, the point from which distances to "London" are measured is in Trafalgar Square, where the original Charing Cross stood. The commercial capital was the City of London. This had a dense population and all the other prerequisites of a medieval city.

Hawaii has something for everyone. The island of Oahu, the most populous and home to the state capital and largest city of Honolulu, is great for people who wish to experience the islands and still keep the conveniences of a large city. Rain forests and hiking trails are located just minutes from Waikiki Beach, one of the world's best tourist destinations. In the winter, large waves on Oahu's north shore turn the normally sleepy area into the surfing capital of the world.
