Little Red Riding Hood is a young girl, so called because of the red cloak she wears. One day her mother asks her to take some food to her sick grandmother, who lives in a clearing in the nearby forest. On the way to her grandmother, she meets an apparently friendly wolf, and since she had many friends in the animal kingdom, sees no harm in stopping to talk with him. But the wolf is not as he appears to be!

The miller's youngest son is disappointed to learn that his father has passed on, leaving him nothing but a mangy old cat. His dismay turns to delight when he discovers just how far he can go in the world with the cat by his side.

I "racconti delle fate" è una raccolta di fiabe tradotte da Carlo Collodi per l'editore Paggi di Firenze, e pubblicata nel 1875. Contiene l'adattamento italiano delle nove celebri fiabe di Charles Perrault contenute ne I racconti di Mamma Oca, insieme a quattro di Madame d'Aulnoy e due di Madame Leprince de Beaumont.

On the birth of Princess Aurora, an evil fairy places a curse on her and declares that before the sun sets on her 16th birthday, she will die by pricking her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel.
