The Caravan is just one more tribe traveling a post-apocalyptic landscape, foraging through the dead cities of the past. The tribe is friendly and well-adapted to the nomadic life. But there is something unsettlingly dark underlying the pleasantness. After months on the trail, they settle outside an abandoned city for the winter. Foraging teams go in, looking to fill their wagons with supplies. Meanwhile, a band of marauders watches. They have their own way of getting what they want. And they want everything.

Connor McKay can tell at a glance that Belinda's magickal powers are minimal at best. She can't be guilty of murdering village children. There's something suspicious about her arrest and lightning-quick sentence. Unfortunately, telling anyone how he knows would mean revealing his own powers. He's been sent by the Order of the Round Table to help and he can't just let her die. Escaping from jail and running from vindictive villagers in her grandfather's steam-powered caravan is more excitement than Belinda's had in years.

Trouble arises when a caravan team delivering goods to a remote group of survivors finds that the situation is not what they expected. Nevada Caravan introduces new survivors and locations, in addition to revisiting some familiar ones, as people all across the country fight for their survival against the growing armies of the undead.
