Willy Nilly loves spending time with his family and being in the great outdoors. So when he comes across a mysterious green boat, he doesn’t think twice about climbing inside. As the ocean whisks him away to an uncharted land, Willy prepares for an enchanted expedition.

It's summertime, and Mr. Putter and Tabby are tired of being hot. Their neighbor Mrs. Teaberry and her dog Zeke are sweaty, too. Maybe a trip to the pond will cool them off. Mrs. Teaberry packs a lunch of apple tea, tomato sandwiches, and kiwi salad. Mr. Putter likes her funny food. When they get to the pond, they rent a boat and find a shady spot for a picnic. They share tall tales while they eat. Mr. Putter tells about the time he won a worm race.

While walking along the beach one day, Isobel and Nicholas discover a strange-looking wreck. As they begin to put it together, they find it is a peculiar sort of sailing boat. They clamber in and so begins their great adventure. Aided by a wounded stork, they sail through the sky encountering scenes of despair and devastation and set about righting some of the wrongs in the world.
