She cannot wait to be the first astronaut with hearing aids, and she has the perfect Astronomically Grand Plan to make sure she does just that. The first part of the plan is to join the space club at school, Shooting Stars, with her best friend, Hallie—and go to Space Camp together!

When Astrid and the rest of the Shooting Stars find out that their teacher, Ms. Ruiz, is about to celebrate a big birthday, they band together to create the perfect gift. Her big day happens to be the same as the upcoming Code-a-Bot robotics competition, and they decide to do something special there.

After seeing the big Space-E rocket launch, Astrid just knows she’s going to be exploring space in a rocket of her own someday! And in honor of the big launch, Astrid and her fellow Shooting Stars will be building rockets of their very own. Even more exciting? The Shooting Stars will be getting a hand from interns from the actual Space-E team!

The Petite Picassos and the Shooting Stars groups are working together on a big project: creating a space-themed art piece and growing plants in water, just like they do in space. Not only is it worth four points on the Astro Mission chart, Astrid is finally working with her best friend, Hallie. But Astrid’s excitement doesn’t last long when they are grouped with her archnemesis, Pearl. What’s worse is that Hallie actually agrees with some of Pearl’s ideas for the project. Isn’t she supposed to be on Astrid’s side?

Jellybean is a clumsy dragon. As a matter of fact, all dragons are clumsy. So when Jellybean falls from the sky and lands in front of Emma, a 10-year-old astronaut, naturally a series of calamitous events occur forcing Emma to eventually leave her land and meet more clumsy dragons. However, Emma soon learns to live with Jellybean and experience a whole new and exciting life as well as building her vocabulary!
